1996: Anna Steininger

Anna Steininger lived and worked at UMAS from August 9 to October 10, 1996. She gave herself the goal of creating a multimedia installation set in Canada's cultural landscape - somewhere between popular singer k.d.lang and media visionary Marshall McLuhan. With the assistance of local artists Tim Maycock, Norman White and John Motsch, she created a sculptural media installation consisting of cast iron, masonry and video objects surrounded by a mesmorizing soundtrack which migrated around the cardinal points.
